Grief and Loss Support Group is a bereavement group meeting at the Edwinola adult living facility in Dade City on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. The group is facilitated by Sonia Quinones, director of Bereavement Services for Gulfside Regional Hospice.
Operation: Veteran and Family Support Network is ready to provide emotional support and assistance to past and present service personnel and their families who are dealing with the effects of present deployment and issues regarding re-integration. Florida Cancer Institute in New Port Richey to Hold Bi-Weekly Breast Cancer Support Group Meeting The breast cancer support group will meet every other Thursday at 6 p.m. The support groups at Florida Cancer Institutes New Port Richey center are conducted by a licensed clinical social worker. The biweekly sessions cover a variety of topics such as the use of makeup, pain control, body image, and how to communicate with others about their condition. Participants will be provided with useful educational material about cancer and cancer treatment. Survivors and family members will be given the opportunity to raise concerns about their condition and learn what others are feeling and what they experienced. Best of all they will learn about the joy of new friendship and learn that they are not alone. The Florida Cancer Institute is affiliated with US Oncology, the nations largest health care services network dedicated exclusively to cancer treatment and research.
